What it is for

Class Societies (Klas Kuruluşları) keeps the list of classification societies, both members of IACS and non-members. The societies you define here appear as choices in Vessel Certificates, Survey Calendar and class condition forms, and the shaft and rudder wear threshold rows in docking are also defined by society code. There is no calculation or rule on the screen; it is only a definition list.

Who uses it

Section titled “Who uses it”

The technical office and the class officer. On the Marine page of Settings › Roles: View sees the list, Add adds a society, Edit changes one and Delete removes one.

Screens

  • Links at the top: Vessel Certificates and Survey Calendar.
  • New class society: code (up to 20 characters, converted to capitals automatically), name, an IACS member box, website and notes.
  • Row actions: pencil to edit and trash can to delete.
